Hoboken PATH Train Parking

Are you heading to New York and is need of Hoboken PATH Train Parking so you can take the PATH train?

Well, there are a few options.

Free Parking.

Browser: PC Browser / Mobile Browser

For free parking, you may use Spot Finder‘s mapping technology that tells when (the days of the week and times of the day) and the streets that are safe to park on.

You can also try your luck to acquire parking on Frank Sinatra Drive (not Sinatra Drive) by the Hudson River, or any street named after a President EXCEPT Washington Street, where Central Parking Systems is located.

Why not Washington Street? Well, Washington Street is a “Snow Emergency Route” (along with parts of Willow, Third, Fourth, Fifth & Thirteen Streets) and so that you do not forget and park there accidentally in the winter season, avoid it at all times to prevent your vehicle from being towed away.

Please remember that if you decide to park on the streets to pay attention and read the signs as the city has street cleaning restrictions as well as a time limit of four (4) hours for non-residents.

Failure to do so could make your vehicle an excellent candidate for being “booted“, fined with a parking ticket (which you can pay online or over the phone) and later towed in areas where a parking permit was required.

Paid Parking.
Ocassionally, residents in the Hoboken area will provide their garage or driveway for daily or monthly parking so keep an eye on Craigslist for month parking (between US$100 & US$300 per month) should you need daily parking in Hoboken. Since the residents are very close to the Hoboken Path train station, they do not require owning a vehicle and will have their parking space listed for you.

When renting (or subletting) from a resident, be sure to ask if a parking sticker or magnetic card is required for your vehicle so you do not get towed after parking if the person has a spot at a condo and is subletting it to you.

Below are safe places to park if you arrived late to Hoboken and do not want to keep going around in circles to find a spot or is worried about your vehicle geting stolen or broken into.

Another benefit of the places is that it may help you from getting a ticket for illegally parking or over staying beyond the permitted time. You may plan a few hours in New York but if the trains are out of service, you may get stuck in New York at a cheap hostel for the night.
